How to verify no upload
  1. Open DevTools (F12 or ⌥⌘I) → Network tab.
  2. Paste data and run Format / Validate / Convert.
  3. Confirm there is no POST of your payload — only the page and scripts load.

“Sample” only fills local text. Nothing is sent to a formatter API.

How it works

JsonYard is a soft IDE-style workbench: paste on the left, get results on the right. Format mode pretty-prints or minifies JSON. Validate mode reports the first parse error with line and column. Convert mode maps between JSON, YAML, and CSV without leaving the page.

All parsing uses your browser — including a same-origin YAML library. There is no account, no Pro tier, and no ads.

FAQ

Do my files leave my device?

No. Text you paste is processed locally. We do not run a cloud formatter API for your payload.

What about nested CSV?

CSV conversion is best-effort for flat rows. Nested JSON may flatten or refuse with a clear message.

Is there a size limit?

Limited by your browser memory. Very large documents may feel slow — keep workbench tabs light when possible.
